A little about me...

Updated: 27th July 2008

Im a native 'Smoggy' from the North East of England, for those of you who dont know that means I come from Middlesbrough. (see the pics to the right).

I grew up with a keen interest in motorsport especially Formula One and Rallying or WRC as it is now known. My fascination began through watching grand prix on BBC2 when commentary would be from the legendary Murray Walker & James Hunt, F1 back then saw battles between Piquet, Mansell, Senna & Prost through to the later years when the Schumacher & Hill battles were famously played out. Rallying was harder to watch on TV although BBC2 would always show the good old RAC rally as it was then. At an early age I would regularly visit the Croft Racing Circuit when meetings were held to take pictures of cars in order to add details to models I was building.

I began building motorsport models when I was around 8 years old, my first kit being an Airfix TR7 with added scratch built spotlights - even back then I couldnt just build it straight out of the box.

Over the years I have been lucky enough to have built display models for Model Shops, Car Showrooms, Racing Teams and drivers, as well as colleagues, friends and relations. My work is widely appreciated and Im known for an extraordinary attention to detail which has lead to several of models winning both national and international competitions.

I trained as Graphic and Web Designer in my early years however I have completely changed career since then. I currently live close to the sea in the picturesque village of Birdham in Sussex in the South East of England where my desk has a 'to do' list of in excess of 70 models which seems to grow day by day. While my humble studio is compact, I have recently added an airbrush and compressor to the tool kit along with an ALPS printer to produce my own decals. There are also plans to purchase equipment for producing my own photo etch and also a lathe and a mill in order to fabricate steel and metal parts to increase the authenticity of my projects.

Middlesbrough

Now for those of you in the UK, you probably think of 'Boro as...

but actually Roseberry Topping below and the North Yorkshire Moors are just as visible as the Chemical works is above but the media seems to conveniently ignore this side of the area... funny that!

I like to remember it as the latter!

Newport Bridge

Transporter Bridge

Riverside Stadium -
Home to the finest football
team in the world ever!

'the little fella'
...Juninho, the finest player ever
to wear a 'Boro shirt
